Coming from a long line of painters and sculptors, Garrick Yrondi was destined to pursue a career in art. He began his formal schooling in 1969 at the School of Art in Naples. His early works were influenced by Kotavoz, Dauphin and Tobiasse, and were exhibited in France. In 1977 he moved to French Polynesia, where he has spent most of his life since. In 1985 Garrick settled on the mythical island of Bora Bora because of the colors of its lagoon from which he draws his extraordinary blues.
